Pair Programming at 33,000 Feet

My coworker and I just flew across country (to Redmond) and we pair programmed a lot of the way at 33,000 feet. We were in a large part of our codebase that utilises CAB. We have been looking at some of the stuff in SCBAT particularly with the CAB folks starting to use Controller classes to allow CAB WorkItems to be tested. We were able to refactor our code to allow this. We had already refactored out to MVP, then CAB Modules, WorkItems, etc. We had unit tests for our Presenters and Views but not WorkItems and this gives us that. I'll say more on this tomorrow.

The experience was hard in the sense that both of us were crunched in the back of the plane in the last row with two broken seats. We didn't have much room so it was hard to do it but the thought process was right on and we were both engaged. The important thing still is to have two good brains on the task and writing the tests at each step so that you know that you are on the right track.
