WCF/Azure/BizTalk/Oslo
- WCF Interoperability Highlighted at PDC and ApacheCon - Kent highlights the work, showcased in the PDC booth, for WCF's interoperability through the WS-* protocols. In particular, they highlighted the Apache project Stonehenge, where Microsoft worked together with WS-* vendors (WSO2, Sun, SpringSource, and soon Progress) to build samples and prove out interoperability between the stacks.
- The WCF services ecosystem - The WCF service family is growing. ASO,NET Data Services has been rebranded as WCF Data Services and .NET RIA Services as WCF RIA Services, as they are indeed built on and are WCF Services.
- Tools to Configure Windows Azure Service Definition and Configuration - Tools have been added to the November 2009 release of the Windows Azure Tools to configure Service Definition and Service Configuration fileswithout XML editing.
- My recap of the PDC 2009 preview of the BizTalk V.Next prototype - Brian continues talking about BizTalk 2009 by demonstrating some early prototype work aroundbringing BizTalk, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Windows Server AppFabric. Of particular interest was WF integration into BizTalk.
- RIA Services: A Domain IS A WCF Service - Add Service Reefrence - Brad Abrams made the above really plain and bold at PDC that a DomainService IS A WCF Service. That is, everything you know about a WCF service should be true of a DomainService.
