Believe me, you're not the only one wondering about WF + WCF my friend, it really is kind of weird.

Also, one thing I really don't like about the .NET FX 3.0 installer is the whole download on the fly the installation sources. That's going to be a big problem on some of the clients I work with because the servers have no internet access at all! It's going to be fun explaining to the security people they need to get them access temporarily just to install WCF :)

You can download the entire redistributable as well. It weighs in at a whopping 51 MB.

It's on the same download page that Sam links to, about half way down. Look for the text "To download the full redistributable package, rather than the bootstrapper,..."
